NO Daycare/Dog Park Anti-Germ Policy: To ensure a safe and germ-free environment for our students, puppies enrolled in this class cannot be in high-risk areas where they may contact germs and potentially spread them to other puppies. This includes dog daycare (unless the facility is exclusively for puppies) and dog parks and is applicable even if the puppy has completed all of its shots (since they may be in contact with puppies who have only had the first round and are not fully protected yet).

More about the Puppy Day Training class:

Personalized Training:  You pick the 3 behaviors for your puppy to work on from these options: play or frustration biting, loose leash walking, not jumping on people, sit, lay down, stay, leave it, drop it, go to bed, come, barking, body handling and not jumping on counters or tables. The trainer will go over your puppy’s daily report card when you pick up your puppy. Each of the exercises is covered step by step in the Puppy Day Training Guide so you can continue your puppy’s training at home.

Socialization: Puppy Day Training is structured so that each puppy spends time training, socializing and learning to settle around distractions. Play is two puppies or three puppies at a time and is carefully supervised to build appropriate social skills.

Times: Puppy Day Training is 3 consecutive days within the same week.  Drop your puppy off between 7:30am-8:00am, pick-up between 11:00am-11:30am.

Puppy Day Training is a “series” class scheduled over 3 consecutive days. Classes can’t be swapped or rescheduled because each class has a set begin and end date with the same cohort of puppies.

We require the puppies in Puppy Day Training also take Puppy Kindergarten, so that you can learn how to practice the skills we teach in Day Training at home! If your weekday Puppy Kindergarten classes overlap with Puppy Day Training, we can help you rearrange your Kindergarten schedule.

Small Breeds:  for puppies 8 to 22 weeks and will be under 15 lbs at their adult dog weight
8 – 16 weeks:  for puppies 8 to 16 weeks OR puppies under 22 weeks who will be around 25 lbs at their adult dog weight
14 – 22 weeks:  for puppies who are not Small Breeds and 14- 22 weeks of age

You can exchange your reservations between puppy classes to accommodate your schedule or your puppy’s needs. For example, if your puppy is 12 weeks old, start in the 8 – 16 weeks class and move your remaining reservations into the 14 -22 weeks class.

Your puppy must be in the appropriate age range for each of the six sessions (i.e. they must be 22 weeks for the end of 6 classes, not only for the first class)

More about the Puppy Kindergarten class:

The Puppy Kindergarten class focuses on socialization with people, dogs, and objects, problem prevention, problem solving (biting, jumping, chewing) and foundations for training using positive methods (leash walking, name, come, focus, drop it, leave it, sit, down, wait, stay etc.). This class is for puppies and their humans to train together.

Classes are separated into 3 class types so be sure to register for the correct one according to your puppy’s size. “Small Breeds” is for puppies who are 8 to 22 weeks and will be under 15 lbs at their adult dog weight, 8 to 16 weeks is for puppies that are 8 – 16 weeks old or are smaller such as a shiba or corgi (and still under 22 weeks), and 14 to 22 weeks which is for puppies that are 14 – 22 weeks old and are not small breeds. There is no difference in curriculum between the class types, but the sessions are separated to make sure that all the puppies have good playmates.  Sometimes it may make the most sense for a puppy to start in the 8-16 week Kindergarten and then move to the 14 – 22 week Kindergarten as they grow.

*Swapping Classes: Puppy Kindergarten is an “ongoing” class so you can reschedule (swap) class dates according to your needs during your enrollment period. Your scheduled class dates reserve your puppy a spot in that class. When you register, please note there may be skip dates when no classes are held (e.g. holidays) and your pass is extended accordingly.

You can manage your own schedule on our website and swap your reservation(s) with other class dates during your enrollment period. If there’s a class reservation that you can’t make or a date you want to change, login to View & Swap Sessions. Watch the How to Swap video here. You can swap up to 1 day in advance online. By phone or email, we need at least 2 days in advance of your reservation to process your request. If you don’t unreserve or swap the class that you can’t attend, the class is forfeit.

Our classrooms are professionally cleaned every night. Baby puppy classes are scheduled before all other puppy classes so that the room is extra clean.

In addition to Puppy Kindergarten class, consider enrolling in Puppy Training Camp for puppies 10 – 18 weeks old. Puppyhood only comes once!
