Puppy Jr. High
Keep your teen pup challenged and listening to you!
Take Puppy Jr. High to increase the reliability of your dog’s behavior so that you can use these skills when you’re out in the real world. Your teenager will work on walking politely, shaping behaviors, tricks and come. You will learn how to make behaviors more reliable, use behavior chaining, the Premack principle (also known as “grandma’s rule”) and the principles of fluency.
Junior High does not always have playtime but we will be using long lines to practice “come” “touch” “leave it” and “stay” with distractions so your puppy must be able to do friendly face to face greetings with other dogs. This is a series class with a fixed start and end date and is not swappable.
To register for this class your puppy must have:
1) taken the 6 week series Puppy Elementary class,
2) be between 8-11 months old at the start of class
3) be friendly with all dogs on and off leash including face to face greetings.
If your dog meets this criteria, please email your name and your puppy’s name to firstname.lastname@example.org to get the code to register. If your puppy has any issues with other dogs, Focus and Control is a better choice.
