About the Trainer: Allie is a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) trainer, a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She teaches a variety of classes at Ahimsa, including Puppy Elementary, Puppy Fun and Focus, Sports Sampler, Public Manners, Intro to Rally Obedience, and more. Allie enjoys working with dogs of all kinds, but has a soft spot for starting puppies off on the right foot, exuberant teenagers, dogs that are too smart for their own good, and giant breeds. She appreciates dogs who demand a creative solution to common problems.
Examples of things that Allie can help you with:
- Basic Skills (sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, focusing around distractions)
- High drive/high intensity dogs
- Trouble with grooming, vet visits, or body handling (cooperative care)
- Dog sport skills (Obedience, Rally, Agility, Nosework, etc.)
- Conformation/Show handling
- Growling/biting to protect toys, food, bones, etc. (resource guarding)
- Crate or car aversion
- Pulling on leash, jumping up, not coming when called, etc.
Allie Lowry is taking new clients who have completed classes at Ahimsa with the last two years.
About the Sessions:

For off-site sessions, please make sure you are within the Primary BLACK LINE service area to book online without emailing Allie first and use this link to pay the Primary Service Area Travel Fee. After you register for a session, you will complete a comprehensive history form online for Allie to read before the session. That way, she can get right to work helping you and your dog have a better future, rather than spending the whole time learning about your dog’s past in the first session. This saves you time and money.
During the session, your trainer will ask you some additional questions during the first portion to get a complete picture of your dog’s issue(s). After that, she will teach you how to use the most appropriate, modern, dog-friendly techniques, based on what is the best fit for your dog and your family.
When you register, your confirmation email will also include login information, so that you can log in to change your schedule, if needed.
We offer a Growly Dog class at Ahimsa in Seattle for aggression and reactivity to other dogs. If your dog is reactive to humans and has bitten, you would need a private session with Amber Hardin. Please call 206-364-4072 or email info@doggiezen.com to help you find the best training option for your dog.
