Ken Bowman, BA, CPDT-KA
Ahimsa

Ken is a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) lead trainer and has a bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Cruz.  In 2012 Ken started working as a dog walker and enrolled in Growly Dog to help his reactive rescued Pit Bull Thea. With Ken’s work, Thea has learned to live peacefully with other dogs and now enjoys helping Ken in his work walking with dogs.

The new force free methods of dog training, and his success with Thea’s behaviors, inspired Ken to learn more and he began working at Puppy Camp at Ahimsa.  Ken continued his dog training education, earning his CPDT-KA certification. Ken also attends advanced education conferences such as the Clicker Expo and seminars with renowned dog training experts Anders Hallgren and Lori Stevens.

In addition to basic dog training, Ken specializes in working with rescues and other dogs who exhibit anxiety, fearful, and reactive behaviors. Ken is a lead trainer for Growly Dog classes, Focus and Control, Walk With Me and Come When Called, Basic Manners and Intermediate Manners, and Private Training lessons.
