Date: Saturday, February 20th, 2-4 p.m. Note: No professional trainers, please.
Puppies should be current on vaccinations (not necessarily finished) and less than 5 months old. The goal of this session is to get good footage to use for seminars and videos and help several puppies socialize using Behavior Adjustment Training. Expect some down-time, since this isn't a real seminar, but rather, a video shoot. You and your puppy should still learn a lot! Here's some info and a YouTube clip on BAT.
We are particularly looking for shy or cautious puppies, but we also have some spots for 'regular' puppies. If you would like to come without a puppy to film, the cost is $15 per person.
We are counting on people who register being there, so if you sign up and can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible by replying to the store confirmation email that you get when you sign up.
By registering and attending, you agree to allow us to use footage from this session on YouTube, for sale, for marketing purposes, seminars, etc. We will also have a form for you to sign that says it's ok to use footage that we shoot.
The session will be at the View Ridge Room in the Brig building at Magnuson Park.
Directions:
- Go to the main entrance of the park at 7400 Sand Point Way NE (Old guard station). There are 3 entrances to Magnuson park and you want the middle one, just one big block north of 70th Street.
- The entrance is across from the 7-11. Turn East into the park.
- At the stop sign (3rd street) turn Left. (If you get to the dog park, you've gone too far).
- The building will be immediately on your Right.
- You may need to park in the lot across the road.
DO NOT take your puppy to the dog park to play, before or after, unless you have graduated out of puppy class, you are no longer attending puppy play at Ahimsa, and your puppy has all of their shots. It is not the right venue to socialize a puppy and it's germy.
If you bring a puppy, also bring treats, your rug (for the puppy to settle on) and poop bags!
You will not get any emailed instructions. Please print this page for the instructions.
