Directions to Ahimsa Dog Training in Seattle

scoop Give yourself extra time to find the place for your first session! Between packing up the dog, remembering the poop bags, treats & such, and finding the training center, you'll need to add an extra 15 minutes or so onto the time it takes you to get here the first time.

We have three classrooms in two dedicated dog training facilities in Ballard. Our main building and store are at 902 NW 49th Street in Seattle. Free street parking is available. There is no lot. The store phone number is 206-706-0375.

Classrooms:

North: The entrance is in the alley on the North side of the main building, off of 9th Ave NW.
South: The entrance is through the store on the South side of the main building, on NW 49th Street.
Annex: The annex is across 49th street and a few doors West of our main training center and store. It is at 925 NW 49th Street, Suite C. Please do not park in front of the neighbor's house during the evening.

We are located just off of Leary Way, at the North end of the Ballard Bridge, between Fremont and Old Town Ballard. Please do not enter the North Classroom more than 5 minutes before your session, but feel free to browse around in the store (South entrance) if you come early.

Getting here by bus: Save the Planet! Lap dogs ride free, other dogs pay full fare (See Metro's animal policy.) You can use TripPlanner to find your bus route to Ahimsa.
Directions From I-5 Southbound There's almost always traffic between 80th and downtown, so I avoid that by doing the following: Take the N. 85TH ST. exit - (exit number 172) - toward N.E. 80TH ST. Turn RIGHT (West) onto NE 80TH ST. Follow for a long time. Turn LEFT (South) onto 8th Avenue NW. Turn RIGHT (West) onto N 49TH ST. End at 902 NW 49TH ST SEATTLE WA	Directions From Highway 99 (Aurora) Southbound Turn RIGHT (West) onto N 46TH ST. Then follow the same directions as from I-5 Northbound: N 46TH ST becomes N MARKET ST. Turn LEFT (South) onto 8th Avenue NW. Turn RIGHT (West) onto N 49TH ST. End at 902 NW 49TH ST SEATTLE WA
Directions From I-5 Northbound (there are faster ways, but this is the least confusing. Basically, follow 45th through various changes, heading West, until you get to 8th Avenue NW. Left on 8th, right on 49th) Take the exit (exit number 169) toward N.E. 45TH ST. (This is the UW exit.) Turn SLIGHT LEFT (North) onto 7TH AVE NE toward 45th. Turn LEFT (West) onto NE 45TH ST. You'll be on this for a while, all the way through Wallingford. If traffic is bad on 45th, jog over to N 50th St, then take a soft left at the big 5-way intersection. 45th ST becomes N 46TH ST, then MARKET ST. Turn LEFT (South) onto 8th Avenue NW. Turn RIGHT (West) onto N 49TH ST. End at 902 NW 49TH ST SEATTLE WA You can actually turn onto 2nd Ave NW off of Market street. It's a very sharp left. You can't turn directly onto 48th or 49th because that direction is blocked. From 2nd, turn right onto 48th. Down a very steep hill, across 8th, then right onto 9th Street. To get back to Market street after your session, drive up 49th street instead of 48th.	Directions from Highway 99 (Aurora) Northbound Take the Greenlake exit then LEFT (West) onto N 46th Street. Then follow the same directions as from I-5 Northbound: N 46TH ST becomes N MARKET ST. Turn LEFT (South) onto 8th Avenue NW. Turn RIGHT (West) onto N 49TH ST. End at 902 NW 49TH ST SEATTLE WA
