Puppy Kindergarten

Our puppy classes allow for flexibility, because we know you've got a busy life already!

How do puppy classes work?

Our classes for 2-5 month old puppies are rolling admission so you can start anytime!

Reservations guarantee your puppy a spot in the class but you can also drop into puppy kindergarten classes other days of the week (if there’s room) for FREE during your pass dates. Check the Daily Schedule at the top of the home page for openings.

If there’s a date you can’t make, you can manage your schedule online by logging in to swap classes around at least 2 days in advance of your reservation. For more information about rolling admission classes, check out our FAQ page.

Topics: Socialization with people and dogs, problem prevention, problem solving (house training, biting, jumping, chewing) and foundations for training using positive methods (leash walking, name, come, focus, drop it, leave it, sit, down, wait, stay etc.).

A study by University of Bristol’s School of Veterinary Science found that dogs who attended puppy school were 1.5 times less likely to show aggression to strangers.

Kindergarten Class types:

  • “Baby Puppies” is for puppies 2-3 months old.  Emphasis is on socialization, potty training and biting.
  • “Small breed” is for puppies who are between 2 and 5 months and will be under 30 lbs at their adult dog weight.
  • “All Sizes”  is for puppies that are between 2 and 5 months old at the start of class.
  • Older puppies (5.5 to 8 months of age at the start of class) should take Puppy Elementary School.

Our classrooms are professionally cleaned every night. Baby puppy classes are scheduled before all other puppy classes so that the room is extra clean.

In addition to puppy class, consider enrolling in Puppy Training Camp for puppies 2-5 months old. Puppyhood only comes once!

All membership levels include a free dog training clicker and an instant download of 100+ page dog training manual. You can also purchase a hard copy at the Ahimsa Training Center in Ballard. Click here for more information on our puppy classes in Seattle.
