Attendance: What If I Can't Make It To Class?

If an emergency pops up and you are unable to attend a session you reserved you can log in up to the day before class and change your reservation.  There's a login link at the top of every page on our website, and your Order ID is in the confirmation email we sent you when you registered.

We cannot change the reservations on the day of class or later, except in the case of illness or injury.  If your dog has a contagious illness (kennel cough, etc.), please do not attend until it is out of your dog's system. In the case of illness or injury, call us right away at 206-364-4072 and we can add time to the end of your membership.

If your dog is being fixed, expect to take at least a week off of classes.  It's best for dogs in puppy class not to skip a week during the critical socialization time, so do try to schedule it after your class is finished. 

If you must schedule your spay or neuter surgery before your membership expires, aim for the day of or the day after your puppy class, so you don't need to skip class. 

For example, if you have Saturday and Sunday classes, schedule the surgery for Monday so that your puppy can attend the following weekend.  Puppies can usually attend class the week after their surgeries, though they may need to sit out of play times. (Girls usually need more recovery time than boys, due to the nature of the spaying vs. neutering).

Other Classes

If your dog is unable to attend a session of your class, but you can, the best option would be to attend the class without your dog or follow along with the homework at home.

As an alternative, you (the human) can sometimes attend that session of another section of that class, if there is one running concurrently.  For example, if you'll be missing the 3rd session of your Puppy Jr. High class, you could attend the 3rd session of a different Jr. High class. 

This can be tricky to arrange, as we don't usually run classes of the same time that start at the same time.   Please call us to let us know about your absence and see whether there is enough space in that other class for your dog.

Please be aware that our "product" is a reservation, the chance to learn in a class.

If you are unable to attend a class or workshop at the last minute, we cannot give a refund or change your registration. It's sort of like changing your mind at a restaurant once the food is on the table, versus returning a shirt to a store, where it can be resold.
