Tricks Workshop

The Tricks workshop is part of the Dream Dog Program in Seattle. You can sign up for this seminar individually for $39 or sign up for a Dream Dog class and attend this session for free, if space is available. 

Tricks can be just for fun, or useful things like finding your keys, turning out the lights, or coming to find you when the phone rings.  Teaching tricks also gets you out of the humdrum of training and puts you into a fun mood. 

Learning tricks can help the dog, too.  Dogs that know more tricks have proven they are smart and are more likely to stay in their homes forever.  They also get better at the skill of learning from humans. Fearful dogs can run through their tricks to stay calm in the vet's office. 

We will have a list of tricks that we can teach your class (like spin, roll over, sit pretty, Left/Right, play dead, shake a paw, high five, etc.), but we can also help you teach your dog particular tricks or service dog tasks that you have in mind. 

If your trick involves a prop (like jumping through a hoop or turning off a light switch), bring it with you.
