Dog Talk Seminar - Read Your Dog's Body Language

The Dog Talk seminar is part of the Dream Dog Program in Seattle. You can sign up for this seminar individually for $39 or sign up for a Dream Dog class and attend this session for free, if space is available.

A lot of frustration and trouble could be tossed out the window if you and your dog spoke the same language.  Your dog is constantly "talking" with you and other dogs.

If you were Doctor Doolittle, or at least, knew more about dog body language:

• You could hear the rumblings of fear or aggression long before your dog exploded into a frenzy.
• You could tell that he doesn't want you to have his bone, long before the growl came out.
• You would know whether your dog likes the petting you do.
• You'd know if your dog enjoyed your child's hugs.
• You would know whether a dog wanted to say hi to you or not.

Most people only see the tip of the iceberg from their dogs. When dogs finally do growl or snap, it's like they're saying, "I give up, you just don't get it, do you?! Would you understand GRRRRRRR or do I need to send you a text message?!"

We'll show slides of dog postures and teach you how to read your dog. We recommend that you come without your dog.

You can bring your dog, but this is a seminar, not working session, so your dog is bound to get bored and possibly barky if you don't bring entertainment.  You'll probably learn more if your dog is not with you.
