If you are concerned about how the dogs will interact, split the cost of a dog trainer to manage the introductions. Meet at a neutral place the first time, like a park, unless you are 110% sure the dogs are not territorially aggressive. From there, you can walk to a house together. This list is for information purposes only and we assume no liability whatsoever. Be careful and have fun!

DogName: Stella
Breed: Shiba Inu
DogAge: 2 years
Size: 22.5 pounds, 16"
Play_style: Stella is a red Shiba Inu who loves to pretend she's a big dog, and loves to play with dogs four times her size! But she gets along with all sizes--she's quite friendly and outgoing. Like all Shibas, a big part of her play is to be mouthy, albeit in a friendly way. But like few Shibas, Stella is *shameless* in her affection for other dogs. Now that she's an adult, she'll bark back if a dog is angry/irritated with her, but almost all of the time in her interaction with dogs, she is quite sweet. She'll roll on her back if a simple play bow doesn't get the other dog in the mood. (We think the other Shiba Inus think this is scandalous submissive behavior!)
Comments: We live in Ballard and don't have a fenced yard, so if we could bring Stella to your fenced yard, that'd be great. We could also have the dogs play in our home if your dog isn't too large and is housebroken outside of your home. Thursday afternoons work well, or weekday evenings now that the weather is nice. Saturdays are ideal.

DogName: Ebony
Breed: lab/greyhound mix
DogAge: 18 months
Size: 50 lb but tall & slender
Play_style: She mostly likes to be chased. I think she likes to chase, too, but she's usually the fastest dog at the dog park. She likes to wrestle if she is invited by another dog. She has ALOT of energy even though she gets lots of exercise before playtime! She usually plays best with dogs between 1-3 years old, but really just seems to like everybody. She always plays well with medium to large dogs. I think she gets lonely being the only dog in our household.
Comments: We live in Ballard currently. Unfortunately, we do not have a yard or place to play which has been a bummer for Ebony lately. We're hoping to get a house with a yard within three months' time, but in the meantime....The dog park experience is getting old for all of us. As far as scheduling goes, right now I am very flexible.

DogName: Charlie
Breed: Golden Retriever
DogAge: 4.5 months
Size: 50#
Play_style: Charlie is a very friendly boy. He has been attending Puppy Play at Ahimsa, and he gets along well with the other dogs. He needs a playmate who is not shy (because he is NOT SHY.) He is a bit of a rough wrestler, but he's very appropriate with backing off when requested. Like many Goldens, he's a mouthy little guy. He spends most of his wrestling time with his mouth open which doesn't always make him appear friendly.
Comments: We live in Ballard with a medium sized fenced in yard. We would be willing to have another dog over, but the doggie visitor would have to stay outside (we have two kitties). The middle of the week would be ideal for us. We are off work on Tuesdays, and we could meet in the evenings during the week. Once Charlie is done with Puppy Play (only a few more weeks until he's too old :-( ) we would love to meet on Saturdays.

DogName: Pappy
Breed: Rottweiler
DogAge: 13 mo.
Size: 115#
Play_style: We've written here before but are trying again! Pappy is big and mostly very goofy. we've had him in training since he was 12 weeks, but he's not listening very well right now (terrible teens). He's rambunctious, free-spirited, loves to taunt and lick. He plays best with big dogs that are self confident. Still likes the puppy wrestle, but worry about him being aggressive toward shyer puppies. Searching for a large breed friend, i.e. mastiffs, pitts, great danes, rotties, or similar.
Comments: We are a couple living in Ballard, with a small fenced backyard. We are in our 30's and are in the restaurant industry. Sound like we could get along? Let us know!

DogName: Roxy & Tela
Breed: Roxy: Lab/Dalmation Tela: American Bulldog
DogAge: Roxy:11 Months Tela:16 Months
Size: Roxy: 70lbs Tela:65lbs
Play_style: Roxy loves to play with all dogs. Roxy can be shy at first but loves to wrestle and run. Roxy loves to chase after balls. Tela gets along with most dogs. Tela is not as shy as Roxy. Tela does not like to play with small snappy dogs, she does better with med/larger dogs that she can wrestle with. Both dogs love people and are great with children.
Comments: We live in Bothell. My schedule changes but usually weekends are good as well as the ocassional weekday.

DogName: Brett
Breed: Norwegian Elkhound
DogAge: 8 months
Size: about 40 pounds-
Play_style: Brett is a very active and very loving dog. He loves to play with other dogs and his only interest in fetching is find a friend to play with while chasing the ball! We live in West Seattle and I would like to find him a playmate during the weekdays. He's more the rough and tumble kind of guy. I have a reasonable size yard that two dogs could share during the day and if they are compatible, it would be great for both dogs.
Comments: West Seattle area; weekdays.

DogName: Wookee
Breed: Shih Tzu
DogAge: 7.5 months
Size: 10 lbs
Play_style: Wookee is very interested in people and dogs alike. He is eager but not pushy. He seems to love everyone. As long as your dog is fairly gentle and/or not too large, he would love to play!
Comments: I am on the East-side in Redmond. Weekends are best.

DogName: Boo Boo
Breed: Sheltie
DogAge: 8 months
Size: 31 lbs
Play_style: Boo Boo is a rough houser until another dog gives him a message by snapping at him. He loves to chase, hopefully be chased, and end it with a tackle. Pups can sure be scary to watch when you aren't used to it. He needs socialization, big time. He was socialized tremendously when he was little, but he has been away from people and animals for a few months and it shows. He acts agressive when it comes to people coming to our house or near our car, but it looks more like fear agressive because he will run back to me and jump up and then run towards whatever it is and bark meanly. It'll be at anything unfamiliar, like a garbage can even. Ofcourse, when we let his leash loose and tell him to go check it out, he takes a step and then backs up, almost behind us. He is always anxious to play with any dog of any size. His best pals at class were a huge leopard dog, a boarder collie pup, and a little chihuahua, whome he was sometimes too rambunxious for and would run right over him :-( But the little guy still loved him! He is very skeptical of people, lets say, he doesn't like humans without a dog by their side. No dog, get away! Along with getting some good play time in, I'm trying to get him to be more comfortable with different people and different surroundings. Hah, and have him see a boy dog pee so he can learn to lift his leg! He still squats. Anyhow, I'm looking for a patient human and playful, well, mentor for him. This is as much for me as it is for him, because I need a more social dog. Please.....
Comments: I live in Marysville, WA. I have a tight schedule, but weeknights and weekends are best. My 11 year old daughter would be with me at most play dates. She has learned well about interacting with dogs. I'm looking for someone around in and closely around Marysville, like the south end of Arlington and Lake Stevens and such. He has grown, but you can see his puppy pictures at http://dogster.com/pet_page.php?j=t&i=258660 Thanks!

DogName: Romeo
Breed: Beagle
DogAge: 12 weeks
Size: 12lbs 8 inches at shoulder
Play_style: My dog loves to run and roll around with other dogs. Right now he plays with a Yellow Lab and he loves to try to pin her down. He can be kind of vocal if the other dog does not want to play but as long as he is playing he stays pretty quiet. He is a real invesitgator and loves to follow his nose. He needs someone to be his buddy.
Comments: I am located in the Greenlake area, but would be willing to travel.

DogName: Atticus
Breed: Havanese
DogAge: 11 weeks
Size: 3 pounds and really, really short!
Play_style: So far Atticus likes to run, jump, tug and chew. I have only watched him with his sister and she was merciless, taking his food, growling at him, attacking him. She gave poor Atticus no peace. I haven't seen him with other dogs yet, but hope he'll learn to be friendly and playful. He is with me.
Comments: I live in Newcastle and would be most available on weekends, although some evenings might be possible. There's a nice park and lake near me that I'm sure dogs would love to explore.

DogName: Brody
Breed: Beagle
DogAge: 15 weeks
Size: 16 lbs
Play_style: Brody loves playtime with other dogs. He doesn't generally dominate the action, but he can hold his own with all but the bigger, more aggressive pups. He does best with other dogs that really want to play- he loses interest in the timid ones pretty quickly. We're looking for another puppy & family to trade occasional playtime/puppysitting duties. We have a fenced back yard that makes a great puppy playground, and we also try to make daily trips to the "small/shy dog" area at Magnuson Park.
Comments: We live in North Seattle, so any neighborhood north of the ship canal is pretty accessible. We're home most of the day, so a morning or afternoon playtime would work especially well. Weekends are good too. Brody is pretty mellow after dinner, making evenings more of a puppysitting time than a playtime. But that can work, too, for the occasional evening out.

DogName: Lola
Breed: pit bull
DogAge: 9 months
Size: 45 pounds, 18" tall??
Play_style: Lola loves to play, play, play. She prefers to wrestle around most of the time, but will also chase, tug, fetch, etc. Because she likes to wrestle and use her strength, she seems to be better suited to play with bigger dogs who don't feel overwhelmed by her. She can definitely be over-zealous, but isn't aggressive at all. At the park she seems to be drawn more towards bigger males. Her best bud is a 100-lb Mastiff puppy who lives out of town ~ they will roll around and chew on each other all day if allowed.
Comments: We live in West Seattle and are available most evenings after 4-5pm and weekends. We do not have a yard, but can travel!

DogName: auggie
Breed: american bulldog - short
DogAge: 3 1/2
Size: 70lbs and 2' tall?
Play_style: Auggie is a rescue and was never properly socialized. He needs time to sniff and just be with another dog first. Once comfortable (few minutes) he loves to run, wressle, chase and BE CHASED. He is very silly. Auggie still gets overexcited upon 1st meeting another dog. He shows no social graces upon introduction- this can cause mistrust in SOME other dogs and fear aggression takes over (usually by both dogs). He tends to do better with females than males-- although he has had quite a few rough and tumble male buddies. He is great playing with pits as they have same intensity.
Comments: We live in Rainier Beach and are close to Lake WA and Genesee park. I also have a fenced yard. The Aug can be offleash - but only in open areas where he cannot be surprised by any new dogs. I also have a car and can travel.

DogName: Suka
Breed: German shepherd mix
DogAge: 16 weeks
Size: 30-35 lbs, 15-20" tall at shoulder?
Play_style: Loves to play and usually submits to play partner. I don't think I've seen him be the agressor--he is a waggy-tail to all that he meets but his teeth are sharp! I would characterize his style as rough only because throws himself into it and is not a small puppy. He's not the one to end the play session.
Comments: We live in Maple Leaf--close to Ravenna, U District, Northgate, Greenlake. Would love a playmate in the evenings or weekends.

DogName: Paisley
Breed: Cairn Terrier
DogAge: 17 weeks
Size: 10 1/2 lbs., growing
Play_style: I haven't had Paisley long enough to know her style, but so far she appears to act tough at first, then quickly settle into play mode. I don't know how dominant she wants to be with dogs. We're not ready for a dog park, and I don't have a fenced yard. We do a lot of walking. She would love to be able to go nutty on a long lead with another pup.
Comments: We live in Fremont/Ballard and would like to find a puppy pal. Ideally, we would meet during the day.

DogName: Oliver - Olly
Breed: Yorkshire terrier/ mix terrier
DogAge: 7 months
Size: 19lbs
Play_style: Olly is a very playful and timid little boy. He loves to play with large or small dogs... prefably smaller. He loves dogs his own size that will chase him/ he can chase. He is shy sometimes, sometimes nervous, but very clever dog. He is such a lovely puppy to be around, and learns quickly and usually goes to command! He loves his ball... and like to fetch! Just looking at new sceneries, and enjoying new things/people/ places, and having a good nose at things and taking it all in, and playing!
We have taken him to a few off lease parks, im not sure on them, he likes the beach, and we do take him to parks... which are not too overwhelming for him... He has just finished all his shots so is very safe and able to play with new friends... Come and play!
Comments: We are in Broadway, Capitol Hill, we dont have a fenced yard, so Olly goes out about 3 times a day. We would ideally like evening meetings, or play *park or home* and maybe weekends, or shared babysitting??? Smaller dogs preferred.

DogName: Kindro
Breed: Japanese Akita
DogAge: 8 years(?)
Size: 85 pounds
Play_style: Kindro enjoys wrestling and chasing other dogs. He is
the one
that will chase others that are chasing balls, but if you throw a ball for
him to chase he will just stand there and look at you. He has not been
around many other dogs so I am afraid to take him to an off leash park by
myself. We have gone once and he was great. He is very friendly as long
as another dog does not try to attack him. He loves my neighbors female
bulldog & they play cute together, but we hardly ever get to have them
together. I do have a small fenced yard, not very ideal for dog's to play
though. I am willing to come to others houses or meet at parks.
Comments: I live in the Shoreline area and work from 8-? My work
schedule
varies a lot so later in the evenings and weekends are best for us. I
also work every other weekend but am usually off fairly early.
