If you are concerned about how the dogs will interact, split the cost of a dog trainer to manage the introductions. Meet at a neutral place the first time, like a park, unless you are 110% sure the dogs are not territorially aggressive. From there, you can walk to a house together.  This list is for information purposes only and we assume no liability whatsoever.  Be careful and have fun!

DogName: Kindro
Breed: Japanese Akita
DogAge: 8 years(?)
Size: 85 pounds
Play_style: Kindro enjoys wrestling and chasing other dogs. He is the one that will chase others that are chasing balls, but if you throw a ball for him to chase he will just stand there and look at you. He has not been around many other dogs so I am afraid to take him to an off leash park by myself. We have gone once and he was great. He is very friendly as long as another dog does not try to attack him. He loves my neighbors female bulldog & they play cute together, but we hardly ever get to have them together. I do have a small fenced yard, not very ideal for dog's to play though. I am willing to come to others houses or meet at parks.
Comments: I live in the Shoreline area and work from 8-? My work schedule varies a lot so later in the evenings and weekends are best for us. I also work every other weekend but am usually off fairly early.

DogName: Mani
Breed: Tibetan Terrier
DogAge: 13 weeks
Size: 10 lbs and growing
Play_style: Mani loves to chase things and adores squeaky toys. He'd love to have a friendly dog or two to play with because the cats are giving him the cold shoulder here. =) I haven't seen what his play style is with other dogs, because he hasn't met any other than his litter since we brought him home. He gets his last puppy shots in a week and will be ready to play with other dogs then.
Comments: I live in West Seattle and would really love to attend puppy classes at Ahimsa, but don't have car access. Anybody in West Seattle available to help me get to and from class? I'll pay gas/parking expenses of course!

DogName: Cody
Breed: Border Collie Mix
DogAge: 11 weeks
Size: 15 lbs. 11 inches
Play_style: Cody loves everybody. He wants to meet and play with every person and animal he sees. This gets him in trouble occasionally with larger/older dogs and cats (my cat loves to sock him in the nose).

He is pretty high energy. His solo play time includes chewing on his toys (and my shoes), running through plants that are taller than him, and playing tug-o-war.

With other dogs he loves to chase, pounce, wrestle, cuddle, chew on, and can be a little rough.
At the end of our dog park romps, he is the dirtiest dog in the joint.

Comments: My dad has a dog that plays at Genesee dog park, so we go there alot.

My ideal play times are after 3pm.

Breed: Shih-Tzu and Pom Mix
DogAge: 5 months
Size: 10 lbs
Play_style: Gus hasn't been around many other dogs. He loves tugging on his rope and chasing his tennis ball around. He likes to explore and sniff everything outside. He is very intimidated by large aggressive dogs, so a shy dog would be best for him to play with. I live downtown but am willing to travel!

Play_style: He loves to bite, go the opposite why when you call her, and likes to pee on the living room floor. She pulls the ears on my 15 year old poodle who doesn't like it. She a little out of control.
Comments: I like in the leschi area of Seattle, close to Madrona, Mt. Baker, Seward Park and Madison Park. Typically, the middle of the days are the best

DogName: Brett
Breed: Norwegian Elkhound
DogAge: 3 months
Size: 10 lbs... will grow to 45 lbs
Play_style: Brett is happy and clumsy right now. He had siblings that he played with up until 3 weeks ago. But he enjoys running and dodging and playing tug of war with his toys. We live in West Seattle and have a fenced yard. But there is an informal off leash area not too far away that would be great to try out with a friend.
We are going to start a puppy class soon.
Comments: Ideal playtimes would be weekends and after 4-5 weekdays.

DogName: Cherry
Breed: Pitbull
DogAge: 6wks
Size: 7lbs for now
Play_style: I just received Cherry five days ago as a birthday present and she is precious! Loves other dogs that she has met in the neighborhood, but I do want to socialize her early. I think that she definetely would like to play chase and rough house abit. I want her to play in a supervised area as I start to train her. Would like her to be aroung other strong pups so they could possible play together for a long period of time. Has had her fist set on shot and will be receiving second in 2wks.
Comments: Evenings and weekends would be ideal play times.

DogName: Pappy
Breed: Rottweiler
DogAge: 5 1/2 months
Size: 55+ lbs
Play_style: Pappy is energetic and sociable. He's very strong for his size and age, and would do well with a playmate that is a large breed younger dog, that likes to wrestle and throw his weight around. He is very friendly and will lick you and your dog right away! He has also been in some training and we like to supervise play in order to avoid any behavior that we don't want to repeat. Please contact us if this sounds similar to your dog and your train of thought.
Comments: We live in Ballard, have a fenced backyard, which we're open to using. We are in the restaurant industry, so work nights, and ideally would like to find the same, but we're open for the right fit. We're also willing to travel within the city.

DogName: Madison (Maddie)
Breed: Great PyreneesX
DogAge: DOB 5/3/05
Size: 35 lbs and gaining
Play_style: Maddie is a spayed female Great Pyrenees mix who has zero ball drive but enjoys puppy activities--wrestling, sniffing, investigating, seeing what she can get into her mouth before I get whatever it is out of her mouth. Maddie lives with a 5 year old, 100 lb. male neutered Labrador Retriever but needs a more assertive playmate, preferably one from the herding or working breed groups. Maddie has completed her initial vaccine series including bordetella (kennel cough) but because of her age (and that very distractable puppy brain) I am not comfortable taking her to a dog park. Maddie is working on her initial puppy manners (sit, leave-it, go-home, go-kitchen, off, wait, let's-go)and will start her first formal obedience class 8/8.
Comments: We live in SE Bellevue (near BCC), have a fully fenced yard, have lots of new scents and smells for your dog or puppy to check out (mmm...diapers...)and would MUCH prefer to have you come to us, rather than vice versa, simply because of the chaos involved in organizing my two sons (ages 1 and 4) and my two dogs and getting everyone into the same vehicle at the same time.

Comments: We live in the Sammamish area and have a large fenced backyard. We are not working for the summer, but will be back at work come September. Anytime is great now, but weekends are best after September. We can travel as well!

DogName: Sophia
Breed: Italian greyhound
DogAge: Born 4/1/03
Size: 14.3 #, 18 inches at shoulder
Play_style: Sophia is shy. Sophia led a secluded life until we adopted her in the middle of May 2005. Although we were told she liked other dogs and people, it became clear she had not met very many. Although at first scared to death of even small dogs (we went to the small/shy dog park at Magnuson), she is beginning to take an interest in other small dogs. I think 10 little dogs milling around at the park is pretty overwhelming and would like to find a couple of small dog buddies to pal around with on occasion. She does crouch down and bark at another dog that is barking - what they are saying I am not sure. With us she plays with stuffed animals and tugs on them and also a rope. Working on things like fetch and stuff.
Comments: We live in West Seattle. I will soon have a fully fenced back yard (hasn't happened yet). Evenings and weekends are best (late afternoon is also a possibility, say 4-ish).

DogName: Porter
Breed: Pug
DogAge: 9 months
Size: 16 lbs.
Play_style: We've had Porter since he was 7 weeks old. He is just the best! But we both work and he is by himself from 7 am until 4 pm every day except for Wednesday ( when we take him to doggie daycare). My hope is to find Porter a play friend for the weekends or after work. He is a very good puppy and well trained. His play style is to just run around with other dog his size, sniff, investigate etc. He never barks, growls, bites, etc. If he gets very excited there is a lot of kissing involved and maybe some playful mouthing but that is mostly with humans.
What would be great is to find him a friend and be able to swap babysitting services. We have a hige fully dog proof backyard, complete with chicken wire along the bottom of the fence so even the toughest diggers can't escape.
Comments: We live in West Seattle and haven't really toured any of the dog parks Seattle has to offer. Any suggestions on where to meet would be appreciated. :)

DogName: Leon
Breed: Akita
DogAge: 3.5 months
Size: 35 lbs.
Play_style: Leon likes to play chase and fetch. He hasn't had much experience with other dogs so I don't know his wrestling type. He is very friendly and has not displayed any aggressive tendencies to other dogs when I've taken him walking.
Comments: I live in the Fremont area, very close to Gas Works. I am free in the afternoons and evenings at any time. However, my yard is too small for any real puppy play, so it would be preferable if I visit other's yards. Because of my close proximity to the Burke-Gilman Trail, I'm interested to see how a walking buddy would affect our walking routine, so if someone would like a walking partner, I'm game.

Size: 45+ lbs, 23"
Play_style: Stewey loves to play chase and wrestle, but not too rough. He seems to get along great with all the dogs he has met. Ideal playmate would be a younger dog, male or female, of similar size with a lot of energy to burn.
Comments: I live in Maple Leaf and would like to meet at either Golden Gardens, Magnuson, playmates house or possibly my house(small fenced yard.) Would love to meet in the morning before 11 on weekdays or in the evening around 8.

DogName: Kenta
Breed: Akita
DogAge: 5 months
Size: 50 lbs and growing
Play_style: Kenta loves playing with other dogs. He style is more chase, wrestle, and tumble but he is more gentle with smaller dogs (if the other dog is too small he will probably sit on it during play though so it's probably not the best match - beagle puppy size is fine). He does react if the other dog is fearful or aggressive so only friendly, well-socialized puppy or dog please! If your dog loves to play and run, has energy to burn, and can tolerate a puppy jumping all over him/her then please send me an e-mail!

Comments: I work from home in the Redmond/Sammamish area so schedule is flexible. We have a large fenced yard for secure play!

DogName: Linus
Breed: Neapolitan Mastiff
DogAge: 13 weeks
Size: 30 lbs and growing!
Play_style: Linus is new to us, so his style is still a mystery to us. His breeder told us that he tends to do his own thing more so than rough-house with his siblings. Alone he's an angel, but with an accomplice he can (and often does) get into mischief.
Comments: We live on Capitol Hill. Ideally it'd be nice to find Linus a buddy who has a fenced yard in the neighborhood. Coordinated trips to Volunteer Park would work too.

Linus is going to grow into a giant (around 200 lbs), so I want to provide him with maximum socialization to people, places and other animals.

Comments: I live by greenlake and have a small fenced back yard. I'm looking for someone in the area that also has a fenced yard that wants to take turns watching each others dog. we could each take them for a few hours one day a week, so we get a little break one day a week and the dogs get some play time 2 days a week.

DogName: Lily
Breed: chi-terrier mix
DogAge: 3 months
Size: 3 lbs.
Play_style: Lily is just figuring out the world. She loves sticks and chew toys (teething) and is totally submissive! She loves to run, jump and is learning how to bark while playing (unfortunately, though it is cute). She is good at sharing toys. She has only been with us a week and was only with her littermates prior, so really the whole world is a new experience. We would like her to have puppy friends to grow with and older friends to mentor her.
Comments: We live in northish seattle- over by greenlake. Some day hours will work, and we would like weekend playdates. Ideally, we hope that lily will make a friend or two who's parents are up for pupcare switches on vacations and occasional weekends. We are open to most play time options, and places, though we are new to Seattle and I do not know my way around yet.

DogName: Roxy
Breed: Rat Terrier
DogAge: 11 weeks on May 2nd
Size: Currently: 10ish lbs. Adult size: 20ish lbs, 15-17"
Play_style: We've had Roxy for just over two weeks and one thing is for certain- she loves to play! And she's very social. She may at first be a teeny bit shy with a larger dog, but she warms up super fast. She likes to chase and be chased. She is a little nippy when she is extremely excited, and we want, through socialization with other dogs, to curb that tendency. She gets along with dogs large and small. The type of dog I'd prefer to see her playing with is the outgoing type, either her size or larger that can help teach her some leasons that she'll actually listen to. She has very good intentions, she's just young and excitable.
Comments: We'd love to get together during the week in the evening so she feels fulfilled at the end of our work day. Anytime after around 6:00 is great. We're also available on the weekend.
