Ahimsa Dog Training SeattleThe Advanced Dog Manners class takes your dog's training to a higher level. Students will work through bigger distractions, increase clarity of cues and learn advanced behaviors including the skills required for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test. All students in Advanced Dog Manners will have the option of taking the CGC test on the last day of class.

Topics: Greeting a friendly stranger and sitting politely for petting, walking through a crowd on a loose leash, reliable off-leash coming when called, reliable response to sit, down and stay at a distance.

This is a series class; each Advanced Dog Manners series has a fixed start and end date like classes at most other dog training facilities. Advanced Dog Manners has great structure, but less flexibility than our ongoing classes; you can't swap in and out of class dates. If your dog is going to have surgery or you will be absent during this class, you might consider signing up for an ongoing class, instead, like Intermediate Manners.

Current Advanced Dog Manners students can drop into ongoing classes, like Intermediate Dog Manners and Backyard Sports & Games, on a space-available basis for free. Missed classes can be made up in Intermediate Manners. Please Note: Because we will be working off leash some of the time, dogs will occasionally come face-to-face. We can put up barriers for small or shy dogs to get the space they need from other dogs. This class is not a good match for dogs with aggression issues.
