Puppy Kindergarten - Training and Socialization Class in Seattle

Our puppy classes allow for flexibility, because we know you've got a busy life already!

Classes are ongoing, so you can start right away. You can reserve more than one session per week to guarantee your dog a lot of socialization and training, drop into other days of the week (if there's room). If there's a date you can't make, you can log in after you register to change session dates during your 6-week class.

Kindergarten Class types:

• Baby Puppies, 2-3 months old, have their own class, though they *can* take the regular class if the baby one doesn't fit your schedule. Also appropriate for shy dogs. It's simple to log in to switch to a mainstream puppy class when your puppy gets older or braver.
• Small breed classes are for dogs who are expected to be at most 20 pounds at adult weight.
• Large breed classes are for dogs who are expected to be at least 50 pounds at adult weight, and their 'allies' that welcome play with bigger dogs. This class includes the giant breeds, too. If you have a 4.5 month old lab, for example, or a 3 month old great dane, this section is the best choice.
• Nose Work & Crate Training puppy classes are fabulous if you're going to take more than one day a week or if you are already socializing your puppy very well. Those two topics go hand-in-hand, because one puppy searches at a time, and the others will practice crate training in a fun way. K9 Nose Work is a sport that's sort of like drug or bomb sniffing dogs, but meant for regular pet dogs to have fun. It's a great bonding experience!
• When age is not specified, our kindergarten classes are for any puppies between 2 and 5 months old at their first class and finish by 6 months old. Older puppies should take Puppy Catch-Up (for dogs relatively new to training) or Jr. High (for dogs who have the basics on sit, down, stay, leave it, loose leash walking, and come)

Our puppy graduated today from Puppy socialization classes and we are excited to continue her training with Ahimsa. We have had an amazingly wonderful experience with the instructors and have watched Pippi blossom tremendously under their guidance.

We are really motivated to move forward with more training to build on the foundation she has received.
