Carly Loyer, CPDT-KA

Carly Loyer graduated cum laude from the University of Washington with a BA in Psychology, emphasis in animal learning and behavior. She is also a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA).

She participated in a hands-on internship program through the university, specializing in rehabilitating “problem dogs” with serious behavior issues such as separation anxiety or aggression.

Carly began working as an obedience instructor about a year later using positive reinforcement and clicker training,

and found that many of the severe behavior problems she encountered were effectively prevented with proper socialization and training at an early age. She continues to work with challenging dogs and enjoys seeing the transformation from unholy terror to enjoyable family member.

Carly lives in Seattle with her Labradoodle, Fiona, and her Quaker parrot, Kiwi.
