Amanda Brothers, CPDT

Amanda and Foggy
Amanda Brothers has a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Stanford University and a strong background in learning theory and classical/operant conditioning. She is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer and a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). Amanda is also an evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen test.
Amanda has been working professionally with dogs since 2000 and has supplemented her hands-on experience with formal training in classes, seminars and workshops given by leaders in the field of dog training. Her areas of expertise

include basic manners/obedience, management and modification of problem behaviors, adoption counseling, foster care, shelter dog training and behavior assessments ("temperament testing").
Amanda worked for over three years as Adoption & Admissions Supervisor at The Humane Society for Seattle/King County and was Dog Program Manager at Homeward Pet Adoption Center (Woodinville, WA) for over a year.

Amanda Brothers teaches group clicker training classes and also offers private in-home sessions, behavior counseling and assessments, and adoption support through her business, Sidekick Dog Training. She lives in Bothell with her husband and their five adopted dogs.
